Portraits In The Sand

Delaware Seashore State Park

Wild, Untouched Coastal Beauty

The Landscape & Scenery

The park encompasses six and a half miles of barrier beach and 20 miles of bay shoreline. This is the most undeveloped stretch of coastline in the area. The dunes are tall and untouched. The shoreline runs in long, unbroken lines with no houses, no hotels, and no umbrellas. The Indian River Inlet and the Charles W. Cullen Bridge create a dramatic architectural element.

The Vibe & Atmosphere

The park covers 2,825 acres, and during evening sessions, it's not uncommon to have an entire stretch of beach to yourselves. Golden hour creates deep, warm side-light that wraps through the grass and catches every edge.

What Distinguishes the State Park

This is the location for families who want their portraits to feel adventurous and unexpected. It's Dave's go-to for dramatic dunes, uninterrupted shoreline, and the feeling that this stretch of sand belongs entirely to them.
